While many are wary of Devil’s Club for its formidable thorns, beneath its protective exterior lies a plant long revered for its medicinal gifts. Sacred to many Indigenous Peoples of the Pacific Northwest from Oregon to Alaska, Devil’s Club has been traditionally valued for generations for its use in addressing aches, pains, rheumatism, arthritis, and other physical discomforts.
Its strength lies not only in its traditional uses, but in the teachings surrounding its respectful harvesting in alignment with proper protocols, careful preparation, and the relationship between people and the land.
Our Everything Hurts Salve brings together Devil’s Club, Arnica, Comfrey, and St. John’s Wort — plants traditionally valued in herbal practices for soothing tired muscles, aching joints, and supporting skin comfort.

Rooted in Our Family's Teachings
Everything Hurts grew from generations of women preparing traditional salves to care for their families. When a respected Knowledge Keeper gifted us a harvest of Devil's Club and encouraged us to share its gifts, it inspired us to bring our family remedies to the broader community.
Today, we continue these teachings through SOLAH Botanicals, honouring our matriarchs and encouraging the next generation to take pride in their heritage.
Directions | Ritual Use
Apply a small amount to the desired area and gently massage into the skin using slow, circular motions. Take a moment to rest and allow your muscles to relax. Most feel relieve in 15 minutes, some as little as 5.
Ingredients: Devil's Club, Arnica, Comfrey, St. John's Wort, cold-pressed organic olive oil, and beeswax.
Caution: For external use only. Do not apply to broken skin. Avoid contact with eyes. Discontinue use if irritation occurs. Consult a healthcare professional before use if pregnant, breastfeeding, or taking medication.

More than a beautiful floral scarf, the Kokum scarf carries generations of history, cultural exchange, and connection.
Its story traces back to the late 1800s, when Ukrainian settlers brought their colourful floral headscarves to the Canadian Prairies. Through trade, gifting, and friendships with First Nations and Métis women, these scarves became cherished within Indigenous communities, particularly among Kokums — our beloved grandmothers.
Over generations, the Kokum scarf became a symbol of strength, resilience, love, and the matriarchs who carry our families and traditions forward.
